Jason - If you give Ann Reed at Noyce Insurance on 01489 799002 she will be able to help you. She arranged my PI & PL/EL cover and was the most cost effective I could find.

Consultant speak follows:
What is the work, how likely is your work going to cause damage (is it advice, direction, hands-on etc, are you competent to do the work), how much damage can you cause? If your advice is wrong and then is a contributing factor to injury/death you may be sued for large amounts. Ensure your contract excludes any consequential or financial loss.
My main clients require me to carry £1M Professional indemnity plus £2M public liability cover although I believe that the work I am doing would never involve anywhere near these kinds of liabilities.
I use the IOSH scheme and have just renewed again after obtaining alternative quotations at 25% higher.
