Hi, not sure if this is the correct forum for this question, but I am sure there are one or two of you that will know the answer or where I can obtain it.
I have 4 employees currently undergoing basic FLT training on site, to be examined externally. I believe that as part of their training they should practice test conditions, as with car/motorcycle etc.
My question is what are the measurements for the chicane through which they drive forward and in reverse.
Any help gratefully appreciated.
Thanks
Chris

This may come across as a bit obvious to most, and I'm not being rude, but why don't you ask the examining body

Hi Chris,
The width of the chicane should be the practical minimum negotiating width for the laden truck plus a clearance of 50 - 75 mm (2 to 3 inches) at the critical points,(pivit point, truck and load extremities) of each turn.
If you give me your e mail address I'll e mail you a copy of the RTITB course specification.
It's easier than it sounds
Gordon.
