Posted By AjSaunders Out of interest - what would be a reasonable price per item for carrying out a noise assessment?

Posted By Adrian Watson How long is a piece of string. It depends on a variety of factors including but not only, how much work is involved. Regards Adrian Watson

Posted By Paul Craythorne You should charge a project rate that takes into account your time and the cost of any equipment you may have to hire if you don't own any. By the way, the length of a piece of string is twice the distance as it would be from its centre to any one of its ends. Regards, Paul Craythorne

Posted By Robert K Lewis Paul Only if the half of the string is held out taut and unstretched and one travels it directly along the length without any angular component to the move except along the axis of the half length. Bob

Posted By AjSaunders Many thanks for the replies on here and through email. My piece of string is of infinite length unless im doing the paying!!! I have an idea of a competitive rate based upon usual daily chargeable rates for other things. these type of assessments are however different as the vast majority of time spent on the work wont actually be on the actual physical assessment - but on the writing up and recomendations. Thanks again for the input.
