Posted By Steven Mills I attended a conference recently and the guest speaker was Joe Simpson, writer of 'Touching The Void' (also made into a film shown on Channel 4 last year. For those that don't know Joe climbed a mountain in Peru with a friend of his, Simon. Things went terribly wrong and Joe was left for dead. A truly moving story. Joe was very informative and humorous telling his story and why it went wrong. Not quite H & S but a lesson could be learnt by everyone.

Posted By Paul L Williams Mathew, I attended a safety conference aimed at managers, team leaders and safety reps a couple of years ago and the after dinner speaker was Sir Chris Bonnington. The talk was amazing as he informed everyone about how, working with a Norwegian team he climbed Everest. He uses stunning visuals, computer animation and video. While he talks through his expeditions, making the links between what he did on the mountain and health and safety at work today. You can find out more on his website, just put his name in a search and you will find it. Thanks Paul W
