Posted By Robin B I'm trying to obtain a copy of Guidance Note PM5 "Automatically controlled steam and hot water boilers" and am having great difficulty. HSE Books say that it is 1. Out of print 2. Nor can they say when, or even IF, it will be reprinted. Our insurance inspector is quoting from this GN with great gusto and I cant even get a look at it to read it myself. Can anyone point me in another direction [obviously without affecting copyright] where I can get a copy? Thanks in advance Robin

Posted By David Sinclair Robin, Can I suggest trying to find somebody who has got an old (ideally CD Rom) version of either Ti or Barbour Index. These databases often include documents which are now out of date, for reference purposes. Sadly these are not databases we use, so I can't help you there. David

Posted By Jonathan Breeze Have you tried the insurance inspector in question? Don't quote me on this but isn't there normally a disclaimer in HSE literature that allows the copying of the document, but forbids any individual from profiting from the guidance? In that respect it is NOT the same as a British Standard. Of course I could be wrong, so please check with HSE Books before copying the document.

Posted By Robin B Thanks to all those who responded whether on this site or direct. Also for the info that the doc appears to be, at least in part, superseded by "The Pressure equipment Directive & UK PE Regs" Robin
