Posted By John Fox Hi Does anyone know if there are any restrictions on working times in nightclubs i.e. how long can people work at a time, when must they take a break It's a bit unusual since there is excesive noise and high temps in most of these place. Can anyone help please. Thank you John

Posted By Alias They would be unless they opted out. I'm sorry but it's the typical answer of it needs to be governed by a risk assessment. The noise may not be such an issue if you make provision for hearing protection, same for the heat, local heating control may need to be provided as dictated by your risk assessments. When the aforementioned are not reasonably practicable and insufficient on their own, staff rotation and breaks may be the next suitable control measure.

Posted By John Fox Hi My feeling was a risk assessment based upon a noise survey and then working back retrospectively to calcualte safe exposure before breaks are required.

Posted By MichaelM I know it isn't the same industry but the reasons will be the same. In swimming pools, the attendants are rotated frequently due to the noise and the temperature.
