Posted By martin mckeown Does anyone have examples of Hazard Spotting Exercises? For example, any workplace scenario with a "placed" hazard which the participant can circle when spotted. I am looking to use this as a way of highlighting the hazard as opposed to the result or associations of the hazard when completing risk assessments. If anyone can recommend a company who supplies these or a relevant website, this would be greatly appreciated. Martin

Posted By Danny Swygart This video is available from www.outtakes.co.uk Blind Man's Bluff Active practice in hazard spotting - with scorecards. Hazards are in every workplace and people who don’t notice them, or turn a blind eye, are risking their own safety and that of their colleagues. Hazard spotting needs practice to perfect. Blind Man’s Bluff helps us to do just that by testing viewers’ safety awareness; showing a variety of workplace situations and the use of a score card to spot unsafe practices and their causes. The film takes us to a warehouse, an office and a factory uncovering potentially dangerous hazards in all of them – some more obvious than others. We are then asked to consider whether hazards result from unsafe conditions and unsafe behaviours. Hope this is of use. Danny.
