Posted By Robert. BSC have launched Level 1 cert for base safety training. Companies can be registered to provide this training and cert after buying a training pack. There is also a fee for the exam which is a 40 multi-choice questionaire. Question is, how will this tie in with companies who accept the CSCS, CCNSG etc etc from the view of recognition and acceptance (by them) as safety trained even though individuals will have a nationally recognised qualification. Any views? I think it is a good way forward.

Posted By J Knight Hi Robert, Other providers already have Level 1 H&S; CIEH, Rospa and C&G to name but a few. Level 1 H&S is the base level of competency for people doing other work, and is not in any real sense a H&S qualification (in the way that NGC or Dip 4 are), it's jsut what used to be called Basic H&S, John
