Posted By Jasonjg Can someone advise on cost of insurance and possible issues, should one wish to conduct surveys on self employed basis. I have been quoted approx £5000. Just wondering if there is a cheaper broker about or is that figure as good as it gets. Also whilst now quite used to type 2 surveying I am interested in getting involved more in type 3 (prior demolition) and ground sampling. I feel the 402 course never really touched on best practice (how to go about it in reality) in this area and wondered where I could gain more practical guidance on how this is done within the construction/demolition environments. Thanks for any advice Jason
