Posted By M MacDonald Good Morning, TGIF! I am looking for some safe ideas for fun and frolics at a company bbq (no alcohol involved!). I had thought of shoot at the goaly, giant Jenga blocks etc etc. Does anyone have any ideas? I am obviously thinking about H & S of employees - wanted a bucking bronko - but maybe not! Any ideas greatly appreciated. Michelle

Posted By Lynne Ratcliffe An example of what not to do is the Xmas Party at a military establishment that i went to: 1. Flame throwing juggler on a unicylce in a marquee! 2. Unicylcing juggler asked gin soaked lady (term used loosely! i was that girl!) to throw knives at him! 3. Finale was juggling chain saws in same marquee! A great night was had by all, the juggler was a nervous wreck! All goes under the heading of 'You would not believe it!' Enjoy the BBQ

Posted By M MacDonald Lynne, Thanks for your response - I think we'll avoid the flame throwers! I've found an agency locally who can provide a caricaturist and a magician and love the idea of a manicurist! We'll enjoy it more if we get a sunny day I'm sure! Michelle

Posted By Ron Impey After you've finished cooking the food why not have a go at firewalking on the coals? But for safety remember to put the coals on the ground first. Do not allow people to do it up on the BBQ. Just joking! I hear that KFC banned firewalking at their events after some of their workers had to hotfoot it to hospital. I think that maybe that use of the marquee described i n the earlier posting may have not been in line with the MUTA Code of Practice (useful). http://www.performancete...codeMarquee1.pdf#search='Code%20of%20Practice%20for%20Marquee%20Hirers'

Posted By MungoDundas I heard that at a company ‘event day’, the chiropodist was booked out 3:1 against the Reiki & Indian Head Massage. Maybe in a small side tent away from the serious fun? Sorry, I’ll get my coat…..

Posted By Mal Shiels Hi, dont know where you are, but my wife is a Master Nail Technician and could do the manicurist bit for you. And dont worry i've already checked her over for health and safety risks!!
