Posted By Paul Leadbetter Joe The WELs should be treated as MELs; that is, they must not be exceeded. There are both short-term and long-term limits, as before. All of the old MELs, and some of the OESs, have become WELs but the HSE have decided to delete OESs that lacked a rigorous scientific basis. I think about 100 of the OESs have gone but you still have to control exposure (in line with the principles of good practice) if it cannot be prevented. Paul
