Posted By joanne doherty Quick poser for you all regarding a question I have been asked. An aquaintance of mine works in a doctors sugery, whilst helping to remove items from a damaged building to a collegues car which was parked in the car park, this person tripped over a 4 inch kerb that seperated the disabled bays from the pavement outside the building. The kerb in question was not marked in any way to prevent tripping hazards. As far as I am aware the property is council owned. Apart from filling in the accident report forms and being reportable to riddor ( over 3 days ) is there any other body that should be notified of the incident?

Posted By Nigel Singleton BSc Your insurance may want a break down in case of a claim arising. It is usually standard practice if you report under RIDDOR to notify your insurers just in case.
