We have a number of handymen who carry out small general maintenance tasks using such tools as mowers , strimmers, benchtools and small power tools.I was wondering what other organisations do regarding training for these type of employees. Is it toolbox talks, or do you use some other method??...NVQ etc, or is there a training provider out there who would cover this range of training needs?

Surely, training needs may vary to a fair degree across such a diverse group?
Why not conduct a risk analysis first, as a basis for identifying common training needs, as well as ones specific to each job?
A good risk analysis can then provide the basis for a training programme with methods to suit individual and group learning needs.
