Posted By James M Members reading this will be aware that the control of vibration regulations is now in force. The regulations require management to monitor and control the use of vibrating equipment that is used by their employees. The time specified when using tools is classed as 'trigger time'. The actual time that the tool is physically being used. My question to this forum is if a HSE inspector (or LA equivalent) came on your site and asked you to prove that you are managing this adequately, how would you demonstrate this? For example: a tool with a vibration magnitude of 8M/S 2 in good working order can be used for a maximum of 60 minutes. The tool has no gauge on it to record the actual length of time it has been used for. Jim
