Posted By Philip Roberts Hi All, Can anyone point me in the direction of the TRANSEC document "National Railways Security Programme". I am based at a train maitnenance depot and we are being requested by our TOC to carry out security checks on their trains as per this document. I have tried google, Dft and DTI web site's but to no avail. I have also tried Rail Group Standards without success. Any help would be appreciated, best regards Phil Roberts MIOSH

Posted By Alan Haynes Looking at the TRANSEC Annual Report 2003-04, it seems that the proposal was to issue the NRSP to Network Rail and TOCs only - suggest you talk to your TOC and ask them for a copy

Posted By paul32 I would contact the British Transport Police for advice concerning this document. I wouldnt think it will be available to everyone due to the nature of the subject. Good luck Paul.

Posted By Philip Roberts Alan, Paul, Thanks for the advice, I have tried our TOC and they only gave me a one page summary of the requirements and I was looking for a more detailed explanation of the requirements. BTP might be a better bet, I will have a go at them, once again thanks for you responses best regards Phil

Posted By Alan Haynes I suggest that you write formally to your TOC, asking for their detailed requirements. [a cynic might think that the person asking you to do the checks only has the one page precis himself, and doesn't know what to do]
