Posted By Robert. If a vessel is installed that has "pressure" applied within it ie a working pressure of 1.5 bar (liquid / carbon mix), should it have a test cert or rating plate to indicate test and max working pressure. Can it be hydrostatically (controlled) tested in house or would it require separate certification from an authorised agency? Any info would be appreciated.

Posted By Frank Hallett Robert; the short answer is "YES" to all. However, I would ensure that your insurers are comfortable with the situation and you can substantiate the comptence of the staff involved. The long answer requires you to be uncomfortably familiar with the Pressure Equipment Regs [or Directive if not UK] and the Pressure Systems Safety Regs; and possibly the Transportable Pressure Vessels bit of CDG(R). If you need any more specific info, just contact me direct. Frank Hallett
