I have just completed a 2 day course on HAV. What we need to do is implement a "Vibration Purchasing Policy". Can any one provide any informatrion or advice on creating such a policy.
Thanks in advance

Glad to assist. You will need to ensure so far..........that all the equipment, tools etc that the company purchase are as low vibration as possible, there are many alternative tools and equipment now on the market that meet the vibration regs guidelines.
Once you have decided on all the suppliers and that they meet your criteria for the supply of, you will need to document your findings, much like an H&S policy or an Environmental policy, you set down your objectives and to what you will accept and what you will not.
It’s handy to make certain that the suppliers let you have there own documented procedures as well as the actual manufacturers. That’s it in a nutshell, all be it brief I hope it gives you some idea what is required.
All the best
Charles
PS there are samples available on the net, that should also give you an idea, in fact the ol HSE.gov is a good place to start, you will be surprised what is available to help you .
