Many do have the facility to raise or lower although now it’s more common for just the backs to move forward or back.

Posted By Tyler No they are not part of LOLER and the Regs as they are supporting the load rather than lifting the load.
However, they will come under PUWER and all the inspection and testing implication within PUWER will apply.
