No, but I would be interested in such. I have heard rumours about a new version of HTM88 recently, but was told definitively that no such document is being planned; is this another rumour or is there more substance in it?

We're not NHS but use HTM 81 - 86 in assessing our Care Centres as Firecode is best practice,

NOT a rumour - Substantial review - Firecode to be consolidated and replaced by HTM05-01 Fire Safety Management, HTM05-02 MoE,fire spread, HTM05-03 Operational requirements - but can't find drafts anywhere.

I work in the Health Service in the Republic of Ireland and we also use the Firecode suite of documents for Fire Safety. If anybody finds a link to the draft Firecode documents could you please let me know as it will have implications for Fire safety here also

Hi Bill,

I asked this question to Paul Roberts from the Dept. of Health, who wrote the new Firecode documents. We were both at a recent IOSH Healthcare Group meeting, and he advises me that they will not be published until next April and the guidance documents will be published will be published around about the same time.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Martin Bessant - Project Officer, Healthcare Specialist Group.
