Posted By Simon Carrier Good afternoon Having just purchased some step ladders for use in the factory, our ladder inspector, very attentative chappy noticed that the ladders did not have a BS but instead had a new EN number, EN14183. Having made some enquiries it appears that this standard does not correlate with the existing BS 2037. Has anyone else come across this or does anyone have any info regarding this particular standard? PS very flimsy and would not last a week, sending them back to supplier.

Posted By Frank Hallett Hi Simon First - congrats on removing the immediate problem by sending the steps back as unsuitable thus demostrating immediate understanding of, and compliance with the WaH Regs. As for the Bs v the EN; have you asked BSI? Frank Hallett

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
