Has anyone had this month's mag or is it late?
I usually get it before the end of the previous month.
I can't stand another night of reading the Di Vinci Code!

Gareth
I was bought the book recently and am struggling with it and have only read the first chapter!
I've just finished "the Last Juror" by John Grisham and it was excellent.
Therefore can't wait for my Practitioner to come through..............
:-)
Cheers

Eric,
Biggest mystery about the book is why everyone is raving over it. I thought
it was about 50% too long and not very good story at that.
His Angels & Demons is not a bad read though.

We must not forget the near 100% factual inaccuracies in it either!

Is it possible for a work of fiction to have factual inaccuracies? Anyway I personally enjoyed the book and as a side note I have not received my copy of SHP as yet.

Mark

If you are not enjoying the book why not ditch it? Life is short and there are a lot of books out there yet to read.
Having said that I am wading through The Name of The Rose by Umberto Eco recommended by a friend and half a page sends me to sleep so good for any insomniacs out there

Oh eck I must be so sad, I read my SHP from cover to cover and start again just ready for the next one, bedtime reading it ain't though, then again it works (as mag slips to floor and Charley gently heard to zzzzzzzzzzzzzz with Mrs Trelawney tugging at the quilt and prodding) What did you expect this is a family forum, I was snoring and Mrs T needs her beauty sleep!
When the wind blows and the lakehouse are heckish gripping though. How did we get on this subject??? SHP came today in answer to the original question.
All the best

Hi Eric & everyone else - especially the consultants
When you do get your copy [mine arrived this morning!] there is a little article on page 13 for consultants and clients to mull over. Another consultant prosecuted!
Does anyone know how many consultants have been prosecuted under HSWA, MHSW or other H&S legislation since 1999?

I never get my mag until the middle of the month - we still work on Pony Express up here though. If you want a dull book try what I'm reading - The Chrysanthumum and the Sword - a book about Japanese anthropology. Don't know why I bother!!

Lorraine,
The film is much better than the book.

The real problem was that he stated them as though they were facts and people believed him. I am the really sad person though, my bedtime read is Genus Coelogyne - A Synopsis; by D. Clayton. Some can now guess the other passion of my life.

Got mine yesterday!
Lorraine,
I'll back Gareth up on this one - the film is far better! P.S. It was the Abbot wot done it!
Allan,
With all this talk about the Da Vinci Code, I feel I've missed something.
Rob,
Surely every self respecting parent knows that it is spelled GRUFFALO. PS If you like that, you should read "The Snail and The Whale" by the same author.

Would this work with the Davinci Code?

Thanks Jonathan ... now it really is a pointless read!! ;)
I'll move onto the latest Harry Potter now and before any other spoilers get excited I know who dies!

It seems to be getting later (mine hasn't arrived yet). Cheated with DaVinci Code, partner read it and told me not to bother as it seemed fairly risible to her (suerly they would guess that mobiles won't work was one of her comments). In the middle of Going Postal and just finished Bleak House again; name of the rose I enjoyed but never understood the title, perhaps it's different in Italian,
John
PS only managed the first three potter books and then got bored but I am interested in who dies?

I do not know; but such a serious question deserves a response; for the record therefore, I would be very pleased to know the answer to the question you pose. And don't you dare say you don't know but were hoping someone else would!
Continued respect, and the pic in SHP is a cracker, do you still have the Capn Birdseye?
Best wishes

Yes - I too would like to debate this business of SA's being prosecuted - this is a regular subject in our office!

5th October - No SHP arrived?
The cat's litter needs changing so getting desparate now for that thick coated cover on it!!

You only change the cat-litter once a month? Mind you ours is on a dried food only diet (kidney problems) so is fairly constipated; maybe too much information for a Thursday morning?
I can only remember one consultatnt being prosecuted, and that was the woodworking machinery case last year, will try a net search and report back,
