I've just a Noise at Work survey carried out to ensure our compliance with the new Regs. Unsurprisingly we now have some areas with hearing protection issues hence a requirement to mitigate the noise sources through technical means.
Can anyone recommend a good consultant who could advise on technical solutions to specific problems?
Thanks

The Industrial Noise and Vibration Centre (invc.co.uk) should be able to help you though you may be able to do a lot for yourselves if you check out 'Sound Solutions' from HSE.

Have you tried BOHS [www.bohs.org], or the Institute of Acoustics [www.ioa.org.uk]

Hi Vaila,
Just as a matter of interest, we have recently fitted out our warehouse with ergonomic floor tiles which also have acoustic absorbtion. They were rated at a reduction of 7dBA but on subsequent testing reduced by 9dBA. It took us a while to work out why it was quieter and were most pleased by this unexpected H&S bonus.
The chaps details are:
