His work involved could exacerbate the condition. apart from ensuring manual handling training is given , any guidance on what shall i do?

Posted By TBC Did the person go through a return to work assessment carried out by the company doctor or Occ Health? Sounds like the person is going through the system of claiming insurance etc for their 'injury' - i.e can't do their regular work etc and hence the claim goes up. They may be genuine or playing the claims game. Would still be a good idea the have them checked out and see where you can go from there. It may well be that the 'injury' will prevent them from doing their normal work and nothing can be found for them. HR will then be responsible for that decision and what action to take. Good Luck
