Posted By Kevin Irwin Could any of our DG safety advisors out there advise if I have interpreted the HSE guidance correctly? When carrying a small load (less than 333Kg) of clinical waste ((UN3291), am I correct in assuming that the transport vehicle (3.5 tonne) does not have to carry placards or the additional 2Kg fire extinguisher? Many thanks in anticipation.

Posted By IanD Yes you are correct. You only need the 1 x 2kg extinguisher and the marking of the vehicle is exempt, along with the other requirements, under chapter 1.1.3.6.2
