One of our employees has had an accident on another employers premises, during working hours, do they report it in their accident book? our accident book? or both?

You should ensure that it is posted in their Accident Book and take a copy for your own records. If it is a Reportable Injury, then you will have to report it to the HSE. Ensure that the lerning from the investigation is put to good use in both companies and a joint investigation is always best. George

Why not put it in both - you do not get penalised for too many entries! Only absence of entries!
After all one of the main reasons for filling in the book is to help prevent accidents in the future. If the entry is in someone elses book, you have nothing to refer to when looking at previous accidents.

We had a Riddor accident where a member of staff had a nasty fall on another employer's premises. It was recorded on one of our accident forms. I then wrote to the other employer with details of the accident and the fact that we had no option other than to report it - I gave them the details from our accident report form and a copy of the Riddor form (with data protection clearance from the employee)- dont know if this is right but it is how it was dealt with and there was no follow up after submission
