Dear all
Hope you can help:
My Managing Director has asked me to try and source a particular hard hitting and emotional H&S video that’s on the market depicting and individual who suffered a severe injury at work. The individual explains the direct and indirect consequences of his injury and the issues he has had to deal with since the accident occurred.
All I know about the video; it's about 45 minutes long and the person is apparently American or Amercian origin, and viewers watching this video are left feeling very touched and stirred after the experience!
Can anybody help and point me in the right direction please?
Thanks in anticipation

Hi Paul
A passion for safety
Don't know if this is the one you are looking for, it is an interview with Ken, a guy who worked at Coca-cola and was blinded by an accident. He speaks of how this has affected him and his family - a good video
The firm I believe is Outtake video code OUTV009 A Passion for Safety

Here's the blurb about the contents....and it is a very powerful presentation....
"About Charlie Morecraft.
Charlie Morecraft nearly died in a chemical plant accident that burned
over 45% of his body. There were times that he wished he had. This
powerful presentation is the compelling true story of an entirely
preventible accident that changed Charlie’s life and permanently
affected him, his family, his friends and his company.
A powerful and dynamic public speaker, Charlie’s audiences get a
highly personal, private look at what happened to one man - - - and how it could happen to any one of us. As Charlie always says, "I'm just an ordinary guy... with an extraordinary story to tell".
About the program
In this presentation, Charlie Morecraft conveys the lessons he so
painfully learned. Seldom are people confronted by the real consequences of an abuse in safety practices. All viewers will be deeply moved and motivated to never again take safety for granted.
The emphasis of this presentation is the significance of attitude and personal responsibility.
Some of the learning objectives of the presentation are:
(1) To facilitate insight into everyone's own safety practices and attitudes
(2) to be a "wake-up call" that shakes people out of complacency and taking responsibilities for granted (3) to make people become
more responsible for their own safety on the job, at home, at play, at travel, everywhere.
This continues to result in people handling all aspects of their lives with a greater awareness and appreciation of safety. Some examples are: wearing prescribed safety equipment on the job,
following safety procedures at work and at home, and wearing seat belts in moving vehicles.
This presentation dramatically changes people's attitudes toward safety.
Their actions and behavior go from being thoughtless, lackadaisical and routine to "safety first & always." Their consciousness
is raised to a new level.
The message imparted is one of vital significance and universal magnitude. 56 minutes."
Hope this helps. Ross

Absolutely brilliant video. I have seen both the full version and the shorter version. Really moving stuff.
Showed it to all our employees, you could see some quietly wiping their eyes. One guy even took it home to show his famiily, and they all ended up in tears.
