Hi, whay not go and take a look at websites of companies offering the service and see what they state they have? From my recollection the company I used to work for were UKAS registered and held other registrations and certifications for a variety of other plant and equipment too. Suggest you look at Zurich (I used to work for them) and National Brittania and DNV, all of whom have excellent websites with oodles of information about all things to do with inspections. Good luck.

As a minimum hold UKAS certification, 9001-2000 has an accreditation body for plant safety, the tester needs to hold NVQ level 4 or undertaking the NVQ at the time of the test. This is the installation requirement.
For service etc simply being a service engineer with NVQ 3 or equivalent trained by LITS or CLELA
Your insurer should specify the test dates etc, as the requirements will change shortly.
