My organisation has an overflow warehouse where two members of staff work alone for approx 3 hrs during the morning & evening. The warehouse stores & distributes books however this would not be obvious to an oppportunist! We are working on the security of the building (ie controlled access to the compound & warehouse)- a swipe system is being introduced.
Does anyone have any good ideas/examples of methods that work, we have thought about buddy systems, calling in at set times etc however relying on humans to call when busy driving FLT's is not going to be fool proof..
Many Thanks
Monica

There are radio systems available where an automatically generated call is made to the lone worker at intervals set by the user organisation. If the lone worker does not acknowledge the call an alarm is raised. This would appear to meet most of your needs.
Sorry, I don't have names/contact of supplier organisations, but I'm sure someone on here will be able to put you in touch with someone.
