Posted By Frank All I had a serious accident at work and was lucky to escape with my life. After my accident my company asked if I would be prepared to do a Presentation at Warwick University as to the Human Cost and Impact of my Accident. It had such a profound affect that the CEO of my company asked if I would be prepared to take my Presentation to all the Company sites. To date I have done over 100 Presentations which uses PowerPoint and some graphic Pictures of my injuries. The companies LTA, s reduced significantly and we managed to surpass 2 years without an accident. I have decided to go it alone and jump into the Health and Safety field and take my Safety Presentation on the road. I know it will be of limited value as a stand alone 'road show' despite being a useful lesson on 'when it all goes horribly wrong' I therefore wish to use my experience in carrying out safety Audits, Risk Assessments, writing safety and isolation procedures to go along with this presentation. I have done IOSH Managing Safely; I am booked onto a NEBOSH Gen Cert early Jan and following on with the new Nebosh Level 4 in the summer. I have no problem in setting up a freelance business and travelling, my only problem is can any one tell me where I can market myself. The Market place I am looking at is predominately Heavy Industry, Manufacturing plants, the oil and chemical industry to name a few. I would very grateful to receive any advice anyone may have. Regards Frank

Posted By Raymond Rapp Frank I would have thought that there are many organisations who would be interested in your presentations, particularly for seminars and conferences. I am not inclined to mention some on this thread by name, but most would be 'blue chip' type organisations in construction, petrol/chemical, engineering, communications, railways etc. I have some connections with the latter and I would be pleased to help if I can - ray.rapp@blueyonder.co.uk Good luck Ray

Posted By Bill Fisher Frank The programme for IOSH 2006 is out and I notice they are having two Spotlight Theatres in March. These sessions are about 30 mins long. Would doing your presentation there give you exposure to a wide range of "knowledgable" people with connections? Good luck Bill
