Posted By Mark Eden I would like to ask if there is any body with information on the availability of hard hat head protection for Sikhs who wear turbans? I vaguely recall that there been some type of helmet available. I know that Sikhs are excempt from wearing head protection as they wear turbans, but we have concerns and want to provide the best protection for all construction operatives. Many thanks in advance

Posted By TBC Some have covered this before. If you go into the 'search forums' and put in 'Sikhs' in the word search bit and search back about a year you will come up with some previous threads with contacts and info. Good luck

Posted By Salus Turbans do not provide as good protection as a hard hat. the whole industry should be insisting on personnel insurance for these employees to cover the cost of any treatment given to them by the national health service after a head injury has occurred.
