Posted By PaulA Does anybody have (either private or commercial) a good H&S Management Software program to either sell me a copy or recommend please. I am willing to purchase it! I have trialed two but didn’t find them very user friendly as they were purely Exel based Please email me on the above link or call me on 07768 212228 Kind regards & Happy New Year! PaulA

Posted By Paul Hill I have used 'Safety Manager' published by Safety Media. I must say that I found it to be very poor. Have you tried Croner? They have a number of products. Can be quite exspensive though. Visit their web site which is easy to find using google. Good luck. I would be interested to see how you get on.

Posted By Tom Doyle Hi Paul, What are you trying to manage? There is a commercial package called Simply Safety that can be used to manage incidents, training records, training material etc. Go to kccsoft.com for details. For machine safety you could take a look at the CIRSMA system. It it used to evaluate risk, guarding, and behavioral based safety aspects associated with industrial machines. It also has document management, incident tracking, and a number of other useful features. Go to www.industrialsafetyintegration.com for details. If you are looking for a one size fits all system I have yet to find one. Kindest regards, Tom Doyle Industrial Safety Integration

Posted By Alexander Falconer Hi Paul Have e.mailed you direct Try Gael Quality's product - Q Pulse, originally intended for ISO 9000 management systems, but perfect for HSE systems, this is just my own opinion (after using for over 8 years not got a bad word to say about this product) There are probably many others who share the same views Look at their website www.gaelquality.com

Posted By PaulA Thankyou all for your replies both on and off the forums... I was surfing on Ebay last night and came across a company called Whitegate that sell H&S software in modules/CD roms.. does anybody have knowledge of their products or material? I'm not being tight on this issue but I find it hard trying to prize 2-3k from a SME's financial director to pay for a package. Seasonal Greetings to all Paul

Posted By Brian Hunter Paul, Have you looked at eHandS (www.ehands.co.uk). It covers a wide range of health & safety stuff from risk assessments, safety inspections, COSHH, first aid, incident reporting to on-line training for DSE and training records in general. You can assign actions to individuals (from Risk Assessments and Safety Inspections) and track progress/completion. It is a web application and therefore designed to run on your internal network/intranet. It stores that data in a SQL Server database so is much more robust than other excel or access packages. I think it is competitively priced as well. Hope this helps, Brian.

Posted By Helen - Confined Space Assessor We recently came accross an excellent package for auditing on all aspects of health and safety, quality management systems and similar. Its expensive but is extremely versatile and can virtually run your health and safety systems. Its web based, well supported and very user friendly. Apparently several blue chip companies are already using it. Email me on hcollins@csts.co.uk if you're interested. Helen
