Been thinking of taking the plunge and going it alone as a H & S Consultant, aiming myself at SME's without full time H & S advisors.

I am CMIOSH with 25 years of experience in the process and marine industries, the last 5 as a full time H & S professional.

I would be interested to hear of anyone's experience and advice who has done the same, particularly with regard to setting up a company, building a customer base, advertising, insurance etc.
