Posted By Tim Hello All,
I am interested in how "available at readily accessable places" in the Construction Regulations has been interpreted and implemented in relation to welfare facilities.
We have a number of mobile construction workers conducting work in tennant properties working in two's and three's, over a wide area .
What would be considered acceptable time to travel to pre-positioned units etc.
Thanks

Posted By Mike Draper To put it bluntly, if you were caught short how long would you be prepared to wait? :-)
But seriously, what about using the tenant's own facilities? We also do a range of work, from greefield to maintenace, a couple of days to a couple of years. On the smaller jobs we try to ensure that if there are facilities available on site, that our workers also have access to them and build this in at the contract stage.
Most clients are pretty reasonable about this as ultimately they foot the bill.
