Posted By Dyfed Rowlands Good morning everybody. My c.v. has been described as being 'wordy' and I don't seem to be having much luck with agencies despite the fact that I have 11 years experience, diploma, NEBOSH Construction and General Certificates. Can anybody send me a good example or offer assistance please.
Kind Regards Dyfed

Posted By AlB Dyfed,
This post may have been better posted on the Careers Forum, but never mind.
I have a pretty detailed CV going into 5 pages long. There's a fair amount of text there (but also a lot of white, wich also helps the reader), and never have I been told that my CV is too long or too wordy. I don't know what exactly the "wordy" commetn would mean, but I think it shows that you may need to grasp the reader's attention from the outset and note your major achievements before going into the boring history part.
A number of times I've been informed that I have a very strong CV.
Good luck

Posted By Neil Budworth Dear Dyfed,
If you are an IOSH member you can make use of the IOSH careers service. Your membership card has the phone number on it.
It was set up to help with these kind of things.
Best Regards
Neil

Posted By Pete Stewart Hi Dyfed,
Most agencies & recruitment advisers will tell you that a CV should not be more than 2 pages long, so look carefully at what you want to say, but remember that you need to keep some info back to talk about at interviews.
