Does anyone have any experience or information regarding companies offering reductions in clients insurance premiums where they receive external advice from consultantcy on Health and Safety management systems.

Nothing specific... difficulty is that use of a consultant is just one part of H&S Management, namely the receiving of competent advice. Other things of interest to insurers are training of employees, carrying out of risk assessments, recording and investigation of accidents, safe systems of work etc etc.
Now whilst a good consultant would be expected to advise on all of these (and more) the crux of the matter is whether the employer acts on the advice.
So, in short little chance of a discount simply for obtaining/securing advice althoguh it will count in your favour. What you've got to do is demonstrate that you're acting on it.

Thanks a lot Phil, It appears that you are best placed to respond. we actually do supply all the management components you refer to, and as you stated; are they actioned?
I posted this in response to an enquiry from a client who referrred to an article/ad in SHP which I cannot locate. Thanks
