I simply can't believe that the FBU will swallow that!

I agree with Frank. The FBU are a very strong union and I doubt they would be silent over something like this.

Perhaps this is a short-term issue through staff sickness levels. If the FBU (or RFU in the case of retained staff) aren't making any noises then they may be in agreement with the management that provision of an emergency service must come first in times of staff shortages.

We live in troubled times. I wonder how long it will be before its worth keeping some folded with your Fire Assessment.

Hi bigwhistle

I have no problem with attacking competence; whether it's based on public or personal information; however, I have to tell you that, whilst I have not been a member of the FS for several years, I find your last addition to this post verging on the offensive.

Also, I believe that the FBU legal staff would probably be able to work up a very awkward [for you] case of libel with very little difficulty.

If not for my sensibilities, then for your own, may I suggest that you provide either a retraction or proof to substantiate your innuendo?

Frank

The statement I made about the Union Rep was factual; folding ones risk assessments surely is not defammatory?

The Fire Brigade is prepared to break Health and Safety Law whilst serving prohibition notices on members of Public. Things are changing Frank and you have to move with the times!
