I have a family member who is trying to put a claim against a private medical Company but this Company do not exist any more so where would he get his money from and how do I find out who their insurance was from?

You might want to access companys house, start there, type in company name and search.
You also wish to find out if the company has been wound up or gone into volantary liquidation, speak to an accountant they are real the best persons to ask.

Try the Association of British Insurers (ABI) web page. (www.abi.org.uk) it has a section on tracing employers liability insurance
