Posted By Graeme Wear Hi, If a school is planning a visit to one of the WWI battlefields in France/Belgium, where can they get site specific safety information? There doesn't seem to be anything specific to these visits on the DfES website, and even the HASPEV documents don't refer to these visits, even though many schools do them annually. Any help in the right direction would be appreciated. Regards Graeme Wear

Posted By Brett Day Graeme, I don't have any of the docs you ask about but have had clients with buried ordanance on site, and have had ATC cadets on base whilst in the RAF, teenagers seem to like anything shiny or metallic, especially if they think they can set it off. Might be worth doing a talk about leaving well alone anything they find. Here's a few links that might help http://www.bactec.com/index.htm http://nstedu.mosaicsyst...ils.aspx?productid=50396 http://www.battlefieldtours.co.uk/list.htm http://www.apan-info.net...e_for_mine_awareness.htm
