Does anyone have any further information on this topic and any info on how they have addressed this risk? As far as I know this is not addressed in the standard medical assesment of drivers over the age of 45 but is becoming an recent concern for the driving industry.

Do not know your location but the NHS do have Sleep Laboratories in some larger hospitals, I know of Hull - Castle Hill, Lincoln General, Wythenshawe - NW Lung Function unit. If you contact them they are often very helpful with information
Contact me direct if you want a fuller discussion.

Dear Mark,
e-mail me direct and I can give you a brief. I was involved in the studies that resulted in the BBC programme recently.
Regards,
Ian
