A risk assessment for the control of legionella cannot be a generic one, You have to look at where the water comes into the building, is it stored? Is the tanks over capacity? Are the tanks compliant? does it feed showers,Is the temperatures correct? Is mixing valves involved? etc etc. Ifd you are competent then you can complete a risk assessment for legionella otherwise I would advise using a company in The Code of Conduct as per guidance note 51 of the ACOP L8. Remember that once a risk assessment has been completed there will undoubtedly be monitoring involved with possible remedial actions and disinfections (if tank fed) The code of conduct and a list of all companies registered can be found at
http://www.conduct.org.uk/
Please feel free to contact me if you require further information
Regards
Colin
