Does standing next to an open grave consitute working at height?
Does digging a grave constitue a confined space?

Jonathan,
I would assume that one risk an undertaker may face was standing next to a six foot drop!
(a drop, counts as a height when you are working next to it, hence the working at height regs).
With regards to the other point, it is probably a grave digger not an undertaker, so I apologise if it was not relevant.

Andy,
Technically, falls into the grave does come under WAH, but it all depends on the following: how deep the grave is, does the coffin act as a barrier, what religion the person is that is being buried; is this a family plot, one coffin onto of another.
Confind Space Regs for a grave, sorry, no. Regards
