Hi
I am currently updating the company risk assessments. In regards to MHSWR 1999 where it says that a risk assessments should cover employees and non-employees (e.g. contractors, members of public, students, patients, customers etc), would it be ok to include these groups of people on the same risk assessment as the one for employees or would a separate risk assessment be the way to go.

Normally RAs include all those who may be at risk in the same document. However, if certain groups of people are at a higher/lower level of risk, then clearly the RAs should indicate this and the controls need to be proportionate to the risk.

Regards

Ray
