Does anyone have any information regarding the safe access and working from the bed of a curtainsided lorry. The scenario is that deliveries come from the EU onto site and we will need access to the bed at some stage, are there any specific items that can provide safe access and protected sides.

I don't suppose that you are going to like this but basically you need a risk assessment for this activity.
First get an explanation of the activity from those who do or manage it.
There are many hazards associated with this activity including slip trip and falls from height. There are specialist hazards including the curtains getting caught in the wind, hitting people or causing them to fall. curtains obscuring the view of FLT drivers whilst truck driver on the bed.
