Posted By Dave Joyce You don't specify the age range that you are considering, but here are a few things to think about: The young persons perception of risk Potential temerity, causing them not to ask questions through embarrassment The bravado that young people sometimes exhibit Peer pressure Lack of experience Physical maturity (Manual Handling may be an issue) Child protection (for under 16's - from both aspects) Bullying Levels of supervision Age restrictions on certain equipment Attention span Training requirements Size of person for the fit and suitability of PPE supplied Just a few to be going on with, no doubt our colleagues will help with many more
