Posted By Ian Clarke This is something that has always arisen and I’ve used make shift items – kick-stools, etc. Anyway, this is an office environment whereby someone needs to keep there leg elevated during the working day. There is obviously a need for them to ensure that their normal working posture is continued and therefore I’m looking for something that can be put under a desk and for the individual to prop their leg up. So in summary, can anyone recommend where I can find a suitable foot-stool/rest that will allow the individual to keep their leg elevated under their desk? – I’ve searched the internet but just couldn’t find anything yet, plus I’m not too keen on spending the rest of the day searching so hoping someone out there can help! Cheers Ian

Posted By FJ I'm not sure that it's exactly what you want but "Homecraft Ability one" in Nottinghamshire on 01623 757555 have a model Adjustable padded legrest (AA4200). Otherwise I've found the advice of Ergonomists (such as at Integrated Ergonomics 01902 741088)very good.

Posted By Ron Young We have tended to use one of the kick steps with a piece of foam attached to the top. It did the job.

Posted By Ron Impey I had a similar situation with a worker with DVT. There are few things available that I could find that would raise the desk sufficiently to allow the raised leg to fit under the desk comfortably. Needed to use some wooden blocks made by a handyperson. Must be of a size and stability so that the desk cannot fall off them. Check they do not pose a tripping hazard. This may lead to ergonomic problems due to the keyboard and mouse being too high. A keyboard/mouse tray may help to overcome this problem.

Posted By Ian Clarke Thanks all for those that responded - all sorted now. A cheap and cheerful solution has been found - a fishing stool! Cheers Ian
