In a passenger carrying van can anyone tell me the actual regulation which requires full bulkheads to be installed to separate the passengers from materials carried in the storage area at the back.
Secondly what is the regulation requiring bulkheads for minibuses which also carry materials.
I do believe that regulations also state that fuel cans must be in a separate part of the vehicle, eg a closed store or the back of a pick
up.
I am trying to convince someone of the danger and need chapter and verse to carry the day !

Hi
I can't give you any chapter and verse on this one. But in the falklands, it was well known not to keep your spare wheel inside the "lanny" as if you ran off the road, the impact of the wheel on your head would kill you (it has happened). Also don't put it on the roof as bouncing it off the top lead to a few injuries!
I have photos of gas cylinders carried in a vehicle that have come throught the windscreen if you want....
Regards
Linda

Try the Freight Transport Association, and manufacturers like LDV or Mercedes. Aslo try Carraige of Dangerous Goods.
