Does anyone have the formulae for the octave band hearing protection calculator:

http://www.hse.gov.uk/noise/hearingcalc.xls

I’d like to make my own as this keeps locking up after each set of figures has been put in.

Bet this one doesn’t win any awards for most replied to thread.

Open the Octave band sheet, go to Tools, Protection, Unprotect sheet, the password is hse (lowercase). The formulae will now be visible.

Bet they change that pdq. How did you find out,I wouldn't have thought
they would have used such an easy password.

Thanks for both of your contributions I now have the tool to do the job. It will save me hours of slog.
