Posted By Terri Good morning. I have been asked by my company to take on the responsibility of creating a H&S Policy document and Risk Assessments for all the staff. It is a very small company (my appointment *just* takes them to the point of legal requirement) and there is nothing in place already. Having very recently qualified in the H&S field, I was at a bit of a loss as to where to begin and I have been to the HSE web-site and downloaded or printed as much relevant information as I can find, which is a good start, but the thing I am hoping for guidance on is the actual wording of a generic Policy statement and RA for a home based site engineer which I could then tailor to our specific requirements. Does anyone know where I could find/purchase such a thing? I am not certain this is the correct forum for this question, but if not, please let me know. Thank you Terri

Posted By Philip Roberts Terri, Try this link, It is a site mainly for beginner's but I as a CMIOSH still find it very useful for finding information and keeping up to date with legislation. There are many links on the site which you will find useful especially the Leeds City Council tutorial on risk assessment etc. There is also a fortnightly newsletter which is very informative.
