I've commissioned some back ground and personal monitoring of some employees when ground burning scrap steel outside for exposure to Nitrogen dioxide and monoxide. The testing is getting carried out next week and I would expect another week before we get the results. In the mean time, is there anyone out there with any specific info on the expected results on this type on monitoring. The guys are cutting with an oxy/propane mix, sections of steel too large for the mechanical shear to cut, outside. We have already carried out a lead assessment, organised blood testing and selected RPE to suit but the NOx is a new one. Any info on what I can expect greatly appreciated. I will of course wait for the results of our own monitoring before mitigating any risks. Regards Peter
