Posted By J Knight There are no specific regulations as such; this is covered by the EPA 1990 and the Hazardous Waste Regs. A good place to start is with the Duty of Care Code of Practice which is available from http://www.defra.gov.uk/.../waste_man_duty_code.pdf John

Posted By J Knight There is also a publication from the Health Services Advisory Committee called 'The Safe Disposal of Clinical Waste' but I'm not aware that it's available on the net. It's fairly cheap and can be bought online from TSO, John

Posted By Bill Parkinson Bob The guidance on waste from the healthcare sector is currently under review (previous guidance was withdrawn)and liable to change from the draft document. The final guidance is due to be published any day now so keep your eyes open. Regards Bill
